I love public health because of its focus on cross-collaboration and the endless possibilities it provides. In the future, I plan to work as a midwife and family nurse practitioner and look forward to working with communities and professionals across all disciplines to promote holistic health. For me, public health is about prevention. Upstream approaches can preserve health, save money, and prevent suffering. This is especially true with interventions supporting young children and their parents.
