To be considered for the TIPH Ambassador Program, candidates must meet the following criteria: 

  • Be in good standing with their academic institution. 
  • Enrollment Requirements:
    • Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate-level degree program at the start of the cohort and remain enrolled throughout the majority of the program (August–May).
    • If a candidate plans to graduate midway through the program, they must disclose this information in their supplemental form and during the interview process. 
  • Demonstrate Engagement in Public Health:
    • We seek students who are actively involved in their public health community and/or academic institution and who exemplify the following qualities:
      • Excellent communication skills 
      • Leadership abilities 
      • Innovative and creative thinking 
      • Engagement and reliability 
      • A positive and enthusiastic attitude toward public health and higher education 

We are looking for students who have/are:

The nomination period for the This Is Public Health (TIPH) Ambassador Program 2026-2027 cohort opens on May 5th, 2026 and closes on May 28th, 2026.

Nominations to the TIPH Ambassador Program must be submitted by a faculty or staff member at a member institution. Self-nominations are not accepted.

Each ASPPH member institution can nominate up to two ambassadors. You can nominate students here.

Please notify the student you have nominated.

If you selected the option to share your nomination, the nominee automatically received an email containing:

  • Your Name
  • Your response to “Why would this student be a great TIPH Ambassador?

After submitting a nomination, the nominated student will receive a confirmation email with a supplemental form to complete. Nominees must submit their supplemental form by June 5th, 2026, to be considered for the program.

This is Public Health (TIPH) Global Grant Ambassadors


The TIPH Global Grant Program, generously supported by Dr. Richard and Mrs. Linda Riegelman, provides awards to academic public health institutions around the world to develop TIPH Global campaigns that increase the visibility of public health in a region outside of the United States. TIPH Global projects promote awareness of public health issues, education, and career opportunities worldwide, with a specific emphasis on local communities.
