The Disparities Solutions Center at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Disparities Leadership Program (DLP) is now taking applications for their 2024-2025 class. The DLP is a year-long executive education program designed for leaders from healthcare organizations who want to implement practical strategies to eliminate racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare, particularly through quality improvement. Letters of intent are due Friday, July 12, 2024, and applications are due Friday, August 2, 2024.

DLP is a hands-on program focused exclusively on helping healthcare leaders achieve equity in quality. The program is designed to help participants translate the latest understanding of disparities into realistic solutions they can adopt within their organizations.

Through the DLP, they aim to create leaders prepared to meet the challenges of healthcare transformation by improving quality for populations who experience disparities. The program has three main goals:

  1. To equip healthcare leaders with a rich understanding of the causes of disparities, the vision to implement solutions, and the strategies to transform their organization to deliver high-value health care.
  2. To help leaders create strategic plans or projects to advance their work in reducing disparities in a customized way, with practical benefits tailored to every organization.
  3. To create a professional learning and networking environment for leaders in health care to engage in peer-to-peer learning, crowdsourcing of ideas and strategies for reducing disparities, resource sharing, collaboration, and ongoing support in the form of a national DLP alumni network.

Participants in their program come from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds and a range of organizations, including, but not limited to, hospitals, health plans, physician groups, community health centers, and other care settings.

To date, over 569 participants from 236 organizations representing 35 states, Washington DC, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Canada, and Switzerland have participated in the program.

Limited scholarships are available for public hospitals, Medicaid-managed health plans, and community health centers. Learn more and apply today.
