The Global Network for Academic Public Health Signs Constitution at World Congress on Public Health in Rome

Global Network at 2023 World Congress for Public Health

This week the Global Network for Academic Public Health (GNAPH), of which ASPPH is a founding member, announced the signing of its constitution at the World Congress on Public Health in Rome. The Global Network aims to enhance academic public health worldwide through mutual learning and collaborations between academic public health institutions globally to improve and protect the health of people and the planet.

An alliance of seven regional associations that represent academic public health institutions, the GNAPH represents more than 450 institutions and 100 countries worldwide.

The members are:

Alianza Latinoamericana de Salud Global (ALASAG)

Asia-Pacific Academic Consortium for Public Health (APACPH)

Association of Schools of Public Health in Africa (ASPHA)

Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER)

Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH)

Council of Academic Public Health Institutions Australasia (CAPHIA)

• South-East Asia Public Health Education Institutions Network (SEAPHEIN)

The Board of Directors includes ASPPH CEO and President Laura Magaña as President of GNAPH, with John Middleton from the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region serving as President-Elect and Rajendra Surenthirakumaran from the South East Asia Public Health Education Institutions Network as Treasurer.
