Join the NNPHI team at the 2024 ASPPH Annual Meeting for Academic Public Health to hear about Public Health Leadership and Education, Advancing Health Equity and Data Science (PH LEADS), and Project Firstline (PFL). Learn about the intersections of the public health workforce, academia, and infection prevention and control.

The National Network of Public Health Institutes’ (NNPHI) Climate and Crisis Preparedness Portfolio (CCP) will highlight two programs at ASPPH’s Annual Meeting, Advancing Academic Public Health to Drive Excellence and Innovation in Education, Research, and Practice.

NNPHI is a national partner of Public Health Leadership and Education, Advancing Health Equity and Data Science (PH LEADS) — a program funded to strengthen population and public health workforce pathways. The program’s strategies include strengthening data science and leadership training programs and assessing and designing recruitment approaches for a diverse public health workforce. Check out two reports from the first year of the program, here.

NNPHI is a partner of CDC’s Project Firstline—a national training collaborative for healthcare infection control. The NNPHI team has partnered with Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health to develop infection prevention and control (IPC) in public health curricula.

Be sure to attend our sessions: Cultivating Data Science Leaders in Public Health and Advancing Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) in Public Health Curricula to learn more about PHLEADS and PFL. Come visit the team’s booth at ASPPH’s Annual Meeting or contact ccp@nnphi.org for more information.
