Join us for this ASPPH Presents webinar as we unveil the new ASPPH Task Force’s Healthy Longevity: A Framework for Academic Public Health, a bold blueprint to guide academic public health in transforming the aging trajectory of the US population. Developed in response to the National Academy of Medicine’s call to action, this comprehensive framework outlines how public health can lead a multisector effort to extend healthspan, not just lifespan, for all individuals.
As the number of adults over 65 rapidly increases, so too does the burden of chronic disease, frailty, and functional decline—trends that threaten the sustainability of our health and economic systems. This webinar will explore evidence-based strategies laid out in the framework for promoting healthy longevity across the life course, including chronic disease prevention, reinvestment in public health infrastructure, and collaborative action to reshape aging through public health leadership.
Attendees will learn about the ASPPH Task Force’s recommendations for education, research, policy, and practice, and how schools and programs of public health can implement this framework to catalyze meaningful change.
