As a founding corporate sponsor of the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), along with the American Public Health Association (APHA), ASPPH proudly represents member schools and programs accredited by the CEPH. As part of its five-year revision process, CEPH is now seeking public comment on two criteria areas: updates to the DrPH competencies and revisions to accreditation criteria for select academic degrees.
The two areas CEPH is seeking public comments on are:
- DrPH degree competencies – CEPH is accepting feedback on the DrPH competencies (criterion D3) via a survey by July 9, 2025.
- Academic and highly specialized master’s and doctoral degrees – CEPH has produced a draft of revised Criteria D16-D18, applicable only to MS and PhD degrees in public health fields and non-public health degrees. These criteria do not apply to MPH, bachelor’s in public health, or DrPH degrees. Please submit comments by July 31, 2025.
Please share both opportunities widely with your public health networks, including students, alumni, faculty, staff, practice partners, and agencies that hire public health graduates.
