ASPPH Launches Gun Violence Prevention Task Force

In response to the gun violence epidemic that has long gripped our nation’s communities, in May ASPPH announced a broad commitment to address this public health crisis. As part of that commitment, the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force has launched. The Task Force of leading academic experts are developing recommendations for ASPPH members to assist with engagement on this topic. The recommended approaches are meant to inform best practices for research, education, policy, and advocacy in gun violence prevention.  Sandro Galea, Dean of the Boston University School of Public Health, is the Chair of the Task Force, and a complete list of members can be viewed here. For more details, contact Beeta Rasouli, ASPPH’s Director of Advocacy, at brasouli@aspph.org.
