ASPPH is proud to be co-sponsoring the 2023 Summer Institute for Curriculum, Course Design and Assessment, “Teach Global Health 2023. The Institute provides educators teaching a new course, revising an existing course, or updating their program’s curriculum the opportunity to refresh their reading lists and re-engage their students. The workshop will take place at the Allegheny College campus in PA, June 20-22, 2023
Teach Global Health has operated a biennial workshop for educators since 2015, helping more than 180 participants from around the globe to share pedagogies, evaluate curricular programs and assessment tools, and participate in charrettes to strengthen their global and public health programs.
Participants will gain facility in understanding key global health learning outcomes and competencies; gain an understanding of strengths and challenges of distinct curricular models; explore a range of active learning strategies to address timely issues and concerns in global health, and become connected to a robust community of educators who intentionally focus on foundational theories of global health and active learning approaches to transform students into global citizens across a range of career pathways.
Scholarships are available and a modified virtual offering is also available for colleagues unable to attend in person for reduced registration rates. Learn more and apply.
