Join us to discover the wide range of career opportunities available to public health professionals beyond federal and academic settings. Participants will learn how to identify transferable skills, explore employers and job titles across diverse sectors, and apply effective job search strategies. The session will also highlight niche job boards, LinkedIn tools, and networking resources to support a successful public health career search.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify a variety of industries and employment sectors beyond the federal government and academia where public health professionals can find jobs.
  • Recognize the transferable skills public health graduates bring and how they align with diverse roles.
  • Explore examples of employers, job titles, and sample salaries across a variety of sectors and settings.
  • Apply effective job search strategies, including selecting appropriate search terms.
