Fighting for New York: Activism for Health and Social Justice Since the 1960s – Lessons for the age of Mamdani and Trump
July 14 @ 9:30 am – 11:00 am
Join a presentation of Fighting for New York: Activism for Health and Social Justice Since the 1960s by CUNY SPH Professor Emeritus Nicholas Freudenberg and a panel discussion on the future of health activism in New York City and beyond. Based on their experiences as activists or scholars of activism, the panel will discuss how in this moment activists, health professionals, and academics can work with communities and residents to protect public health and social justice, using the lessons that health social movements in New York have learned over the last 60 years.
