Adapting Public Health Education to New Communications Realities

In a rapidly evolving communications environment, traditional strategies and tactics for communicating public health issues no longer apply. Tomorrow’s public health leaders must be able to reach key audiences, address misinformation, listen to and engage effectively with people from different perspectives, confidently use social media, persuade people to act on evidence-based health guidance, and build trust. Lightning talk speakers will frame current communications challenges and propose steps needed to transform public health communications training.
