ASPPH invites members and the broader public health community to contribute original commentary to its Academic Public Health Perspectives page. This platform highlights timely ideas, informed perspectives, and insights on the issues shaping academic public health, offering an opportunity for public health professionals to share their expertise and contribute to important conversations across the field.
ASPPH welcomes submissions exploring current and emerging public health issues, research, education, policy, practice, leadership, innovation, health equity, and workforce development. Articles may also feature reflections on policy and practice, lessons learned, or new approaches to addressing public health challenges.
Submissions should be original, evidence-informed, and accessible to a broad public health audience, with a typical length of 800–1,500 words. Contributors are encouraged to review the submission guidelines and submit their articles to externalrelations@aspph.org. ASPPH members are also encouraged to share this opportunity with faculty, researchers, students, and colleagues across their institutions and networks.
For inspiration, readers can explore the latest Academic Public Health Perspective from ASPPH President and CEO Dr. Laura Magaña, “Mental Well-Being in Academia: Excellence Should Not Require Exhaustion”. The article examines why supporting mental well-being in academic institutions requires addressing organizational cultures, workloads, and expectations alongside individual wellness resources.
ASPPH looks forward to elevating diverse voices and perspectives that advance conversations across academic public health.
