The Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) recently announced proposed revisions to its Accreditation Procedures related to the format and frequency of site visits. The proposed changes would allow online site visits in certain circumstances and reduce the frequency of on-campus visits for accredited schools and programs of public health.
The proposed revisions represent potential changes to an important component of the accreditation process. ASPPH encourages members to review the proposal and consider how the changes could affect their institutions and the broader academic public health community.
Individuals, departments, programs, and schools are invited to submit feedback directly to CEPH. Members may comment individually or provide feedback on behalf of their institution, offering an opportunity to share perspectives and experiences that can inform CEPH’s consideration of the proposed procedures.
Comments are due Tuesday, November 24, and must be submitted through CEPH’s designated online form. Comments provided by letter or in another format will not be accepted.
ASPPH encourages members to review the proposed revisions and take advantage of this opportunity to provide input on the future of the accreditation process.
