AI in Action: Practical Applications for Academic Public Health
October 29 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Artificial intelligence is rapidly moving from experimentation to practical application across public health. As these technologies become increasingly embedded in teaching and learning, education, research and practice, and the workforce, public health leaders are navigating not only how AI can be used, but how it can be implemented responsibly, effectively, and with appropriate governance.
Join the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) for AI in Action: Practical Applications for Academic Public Health, an installment of the ASPPH Presents Webinar Series exploring how AI is being translated from concept into practice across the public health ecosystem.
The conversation will feature Amitabh Suthar, PharmD, MPH, Senior Advisor, Applied AI at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), who will share perspectives on the practical application of AI in public health.
Moderated by Dean Melissa Perry, ScD, MHS, MBA, Dean of the College of Public Health, George Mason University, the discussion will examine emerging opportunities for AI across academic and applied public health while considering the complex questions that accompany implementation.
This webinar is designed for faculty, staff, researchers, practitioners, students, institutional leaders, and others interested in understanding how artificial intelligence is being applied in public health practice.
