Public Health Policy and Advocacy During Challenging Times

June 11 @ 2:30 pm 3:30 pm

Join ASPPH Presents for a timely webinar on advocacy in an evolving federal landscape and the policy developments shaping the future of academic public health. This session will provide an overview of the current federal outlook, including recent legislative and regulatory activity affecting higher education, public health funding, and workforce development. Speakers will also discuss the implications of the Department of Education’s final rule on professional degree programs and federal student aid, as well as key issues and trends to monitor as the nation approaches the upcoming midterm elections.

Designed for faculty, administrators, students, government affairs professionals, and public health advocates, the webinar will offer practical insights and context to help institutions stay informed, strengthen advocacy efforts, and navigate a rapidly changing policy environment. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of the challenges and opportunities ahead for academic public health and the broader public health ecosystem.
