ASPPH/CDC Tribal Health Department Fellowship Program: Application Deadline April 30, 2026

The ASPPH/CDC Tribal Health Department Fellowship Program is a collaborative initiative between the ASPPH Center for Public Health Workforce Development and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) designed to build capacity for Tribal Health Departments across the US. Fellowship program participants placed in Tribal Health Departments must have earned a graduate-level degree from an ASPPH-member, CEPH-accredited school or program of public health within the last five years. Applications are being accepted now through April 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM PT.

Fellowship program participants will train directly with Tribal Health Department leaders, contributing to projects identified by and unique to each Tribal Health Department host site. Fellowship program participants will gain practical Tribal public health experience and culturally relevant professional development. The program aims to provide capacity-building assistance to Tribal Health Departments while also preparing the next generation of Tribal public health leaders.

ASPPH encourages our member schools and programs of public health to share this opportunity with students nearing graduation and recent graduates interested in Tribal public health careers.
