Call for Abstracts for APHA 2025 and the Academic-Practice Linkages in Public Health (APLPH) Caucus is Now Open

Call for abstracts APHA 2025 Annual Meeting & Expo in Washington, DC, and Academic-Practice Linkages in Public Health (APLPH) Caucus

The call for abstracts for the American Public Health Association’s (APHA) 2025 Annual Meeting and Expo, which will be held November 2-5, 2025, in Washington, DC, are due March 28, 2025. Submissions related to all areas of public health are welcome, and abstracts related to the meeting theme, “Making the Public’s Health a National Priority,” are especially encouraged. ASPPH also invites its members and partner networks to submit abstracts to the Academic-Practice Linkages in Public Health (APLPH) Caucus.

The Caucus provides a forum to explore and discuss innovative approaches and effective interventions that support practice, education, and applied research by building bridges between academic and practice. Session topics for the 2025 APLPH Caucus include:

  • Advancing Health Equity and Social Justice through Collaborative Partnerships between Academia and Public Health Practitioners
  • Building a Stronger Public Health Workforce: Academic-Practice Collaborations for Recruitment, Retention, and Training
  • Developing Tomorrow’s Public Health Leaders: Mentorship and Training through Academic-Practice Collaboration
  • Driving Public Health Policy Change: The Role of Academic-Practice Linkages in Advocacy and Reform
  • Engaging Communities for Better Health Outcomes: Best Practices in Academic-Practice Partnerships
  • Fostering Collaboration: Leveraging Academic-Practice Linkages to Strengthen Governmental Public Health Partnerships
  • Innovation in Public Health Education: Integrating Real-World Experiences into Academic Programs
  • Leveraging Data and Technology for Public Health: Building Academic-Practice Linkages in Data Modernization
  • Translating Research into Action: Bridging the Gap between Academia and Public Health Practice
