Our partner, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)’s Division of Maternal and Child Health Workforce Development, recently announced two new funding opportunities aimed at bolstering maternal and child health (MCH). These Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs) are available to strengthen MCH education, faculty, and workforce training and have deadlines of mid-to-late January.

  • MCH Public Health Catalyst Program (HRSA-25-025): This program supports the recruitment and training of diverse graduate students in MCH, enhances MCH curricula, and builds faculty capacity. Schools can apply for either the MCH Curriculum Start-Up or Expansion track. Applications close on January 23, 2025. For questions related to this program, please contact Katie Van Nuys at kvannuys@hrsa.gov.
  • Centers of Excellence in MCH (HRSA-25-027): Designed to enhance MCH workforce capacity, this initiative trains graduate and post-graduate students and advances MCH research and policy. An optional Postdoctoral Fellowship Supplement is available to expand academic capacity in MCH. Applications close on January 27, 2025. For questions related to this program, please contact Ayanna Johnson at ajohnson5@hrsa.gov.

If your school or program is interested in building and sustaining an MCH curriculum, explore the full NOFOs on grants.gov. There, you will find information on upcoming technical assistance webinars and detailed instructions by selecting “Package,” then “Preview,” and “Download Instructions.”
