Reminder: ASPPH Presents Webinar, The Importance of Voting and Countering Misinformation in Public Health, October 15

ASPPH Presents Webinar on 'The Importance of Voting and Countering Misinformation in Public Health,' scheduled for October 15, 2024, at 12 PM EST

As we approach the upcoming Presidential election, it’s crucial to recognize the powerful link between voting and public health. Join us at our upcoming webinar, The Importance of Voting and Countering Misinformation in Public Health, on October 15, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM EST. The webinar will highlight ASPPH’s Voting is Public Health campaign, emphasizing the vital role civic engagement plays in shaping health outcomes.

Two ASPPH member deans – Dr. Boris Lushniak (University of Maryland School of Public Health) and Dr. Melinda Pettigrew (University of Minnesota School of Public Health) – along with other experts, will explore strategies for promoting voter participation within academic public health and discuss the challenges of combating misinformation during election cycles.

Please encourage others to attend and register as well. Through informed civic engagement, we can work together towards healthier communities.
