Online Interprofessional Resource: “Navigating a Foodborne Outbreak”

The recent Salmonella outbreak, reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), offers real-world context to the online module, Navigating a Foodborne Outbreak. The module follows a fictional foodborne illness based on the 2015-2016 multi-state Salmonella outbreak. The competency-based module, co-created by ASPPH with public health, nursing, and medical partners, demonstrates the importance of interprofessional practice to improve and protect population health.

This free teaching resource is geared toward faculty for use with public health, medical, and/or nursing students. Further details on the module are available for faculty here.
