Earlier this week, ASPPH board members, advocacy staff, and our President & CEO were honored to meet virtually with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Mandy Cohen and her team. We discussed shared priorities between academic public health and the agency. Dr. Cohen highlighted workforce development and training, emphasizing the communication competencies of MPH students, data analytics, and further leveraging faculty research.

We are grateful to Dr. Cohen and her team for meeting with us again, and ASPPH and our schools and programs of public health look forward to continuing our decades-long collaboration with the CDC to improve health for everyone, everywhere.
