NIH Funding Opportunity: Global Infectious Disease Research Training Program

The National Institutes of Health (NIH)’s funding opportunity for the Global Infectious Disease Research Training Program strengthens low- and middle-income country (LMIC) institutions’ capacity for infectious disease research via collaborative training with US institutions. The earliest submission date is July 6, 2024, with a letter of intent due 30 days before the application due date. A wide range of US and foreign entities are eligible to apply, including educational institutions.

Training may include areas like epidemiology, clinical, behavioral, or social science health research, focusing on diseases of public health importance in LMICs.

ASPPH has been a leader in advocating for global health programs, specifically within the NIH Fogarty International Center (FIC) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Read more about these priorities in our latest letter to House and Senate Appropriations leaders.
