Introducing ASPPH’s New Find an Academic Partner Resource

ASPPH’s Center for Public Health Workforce Development is excited to introduce a new resource designed to advance bidirectional partnerships between state, Tribal, local, and territorial health departments and ASPPH members. In collaboration with the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI), ASPPH has developed Find an Academic Partner, a user-friendly, searchable tool designed to promote and support meaningful bi-directional partnerships between governmental and academic public health.

This innovative tool makes it easier for public health departments to:

  • Quickly search for and identify ASPPH member institutions that align with their workforce and training needs
  • Access key contact information for public health practice, career services, library services, and continuing education opportunities
  • Search by U.S. state and/or academic service to find the right partnerships for their agency

Strong partnerships are more important than ever in strengthening the public health workforce. Finding an Academic Partner reduces barriers to collaboration by providing direct access to institutions that can support health department needs.

Find an Academic Partner is now live and available for public use.

If you have any questions about how your institution is represented in the tool or would like assistance in navigating its features, please contact the ASPPH Center for Public Health Workforce Development at workforce@aspph.org.

Funding for this tool was provided by the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI) through a Cooperative Award with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the Department of Health and Human Services (“DHHS”, “HHS”). The contents are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily represent the official views of, nor an endorsement, by CDC/HHS, the U.S. Government, or the NNPHI.
