The Art of Evaluation: Building, Bridging and Broadening Program Impact Through Community Engaged Courses

Description: Workshop three of the MCH CELL for Community-Partnered Teaching will highlight a graduate-level public health program evaluation course at UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health. It will include an overview of the program evaluation course, the collaborative assignment, and the value of community-partnered evaluation courses for both students and public health organizations. For the first part of the session, there will be a recorded presentation. While the second part will be a group discussion to learn from one another on how others have engaged in similar partnerships and courses, including challenges and ways to overcome them. We invite you to share this event among your professional networks!

About the MCH CELL Workshop Series
Do you teach an existing public health course that involves students working with community partners as clients? Do you want to start a new course like this? Are you looking for an interactive and welcoming co-learning space with other instructors who either teach or want to teach public health courses like this? If so, then the Maternal and Child Health Community Engaged Learning Lab (MCH CELL) webinar series focused on community-partnered teaching is for you!

This workshop series is open to all public health instructors; no matter if you are a brand new or seasoned instructor, or if you teach outside the field of MCH. If you have questions about creating, facilitating, and sustaining courses like these or you have an interest in being part of an instructor community that seeks to develop and share best practices when integrating community partners meaningfully into their classes, then this space is for you.
