COLLABORATION BETWEEN ACADEMIC AND COMMUNITY-BASED PARTNERS FOR PROGRAM PLANNING COURSES

Workshop 2 of the MCH CELL for Community-Partnered Teaching will highlight one example of an academic-practice partnership in a University at Albany graduate public health program planning course. It will include a description of how the partnership was formed, an overview of the program development course and the specific collaborative assignment, and lessons learned for collaboration on courses of this type. For the first part of the session, you will hear from the presenters, and then there will be a large group discussion to learn from one another on how others have engaged in similar partnerships and courses, including challenges and ways to overcome them. If so, then the Maternal and Child Health Community Engaged Learning Lab (MCH CELL) webinar series focused on community-partnered teaching is for you!
