ASPPH welcomes new staff member Beeta Rasouli as director of advocacy and federal affairs. Rasouli received a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the George Washington University. Previously, she served as principal at Lewis-Burke Associates for five years where she steered the firm’s healthcare portfolio in areas impacting academic health centers, clinical providers, and biomedical researchers. Prior to that, Rasouli was a senior health policy associate at the Alliance for Health Policy, a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to helping policymakers better understand health policy. She also held various positions on Capitol Hill while pursuing her MPH, including staff assistant and health policy fellow in the office of former Pennsylvania Rep. Allyson Schwartz and intern in the offices of Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan and the late Massachusetts Sen. Ted Kennedy.
In her spare time, Beeta posts about local chefs and restaurants on her food blog. She has also traveled to six out of seven continents in the world and hopes to make it to Antarctica one day.
