Last week ASPPH co-hosted – with the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill – the launch on Capitol Hill of Insight Net, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Center for Forecasting and Outbreak Analytics (CFA) new collaborative initiative set to revolutionize health emergency response.

Insight Net consists of 13 CFA-funded partners and over 100 organizations across 22 states, spanning health departments, tribal organizations, private sector entities, and academic institutions. Its primary goal is to enhance the speed, precision, and utilization of data and analytics in health emergencies.

Congratulations to our member schools of public health – Emory University Rollins School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, University of Michigan School of Public Health, University of Minnesota School of Public Health, Northeastern University MPH Program, University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health (Network Coordinator), and the University of Utah Public Health Program – who were awardees.
