We are pleased to announce that the second plenary session for the 2024 ASPPH Annual Meeting for Academic Public Health (March 21-23) is “Disparity to Equity: Inter-Sectoral Collaborations and Actions.”
Taking place Friday, March 22 at 9:00 AM ET, Dr. Lisa Cooper, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and author of Why Are Health Disparities Everyone’s Problem, will provide opening remarks. An inter-sectoral panel discussion will follow with representatives from academia, government, and industry discussing the role of their respective disciplines in advancing knowledge and understanding of health disparities and identifying mechanisms to improve minority health and reduce health disparities. This session aims to foster a deeper understanding of the challenges at hand and inspire collaborative solutions.
