ASPPH is proud to announce that Claremont Graduate University was awarded funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for their Workforce Improvement Project (WIP) proposal, Customized Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) Prep Program for CDC Fellows.
This WIP will support CDC’s health education fellows in studying for – and taking – the exam to achieve CHES or Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) and set up the foundation for their professional growth and development as health education specialists. Bree Hemingway, PhD, MPH, CHES, Assistant Clinical Professor of Community and Global Health, Associate Director of the MPH Program, and Co-Director of the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)/MPH Dual Program in the School of Community and Global Health at Claremont Graduate University, will lead this exciting project.
WIPs are proposed and funded by CDC programs and conducted by partner organizations and/or their member institutions. The ASPPH Center for Public Health Workforce Development is proud to offer access to the CDC’s Public Health Leadership and Education, Advancing Health Equity and Data Science (PH LEADS) WIPs as an exclusive ASPPH member benefit.
