This Thanksgiving, ASPPH extends warm appreciation to the public health community, including our educators, researchers, practitioners, students, advocates, and partners, whose dedication strengthens the health and well-being of communities across the globe.
This year has been a challenging one for public health. Across academic institutions and practice settings, professionals and students have navigated workforce strain, funding uncertainty, and the growing complexity of the issues we are called to address. Yet despite these pressures, the public health community has continued to demonstrate resilience, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to improving public health
Throughout the year, our members and their partners have advanced research, prepared future leaders, deepened community engagement, and advocated for policies that promote equity and improved health. Their efforts embody the values that define public health and offer hope at a moment when it is greatly needed.
As we look ahead, ASPPH remains steadfast in its mission to support and elevate academic public health and to work collaboratively with partners across sectors. We look forward to continuing to build a healthier, more equitable world in 2026. For those who celebrated, we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, filled with time for rest, reflection, and connection with those you hold dear. ASPPH is grateful for all who contribute to a stronger, more vibrant public health ecosystem.
