Wishing You Happy Holidays and Welcoming 2026 with Gratitude and Resolve

Happy Holidays from ASPPH

As we close the chapter on 2025 and prepare to welcome 2026, we extend our deepest gratitude to the academic public health community for your unwavering partnership, leadership, and commitment during a challenging and consequential year. Your resilience, innovation, and shared purpose continue to inspire us and to elevate the essential role of academic public health.

Throughout 2025, ASPPH member schools and programs demonstrated extraordinary impact. From advancing health equity and addressing urgent challenges to strengthening an inclusive and just public health workforce, your work underscores the power of collaboration and collective resolve. We have continued to champion evidence, education, and action in service of healthier communities.

Reflecting on 2025, we take pride in our collective accomplishments, highlighted in the ASPPH Annual Report. These milestones demonstrate the power of collaboration and a shared vision. We are proud of what we have accomplished together and remain clear-eyed about the challenges ahead. Guided by ASPPH’s Strategic Plan 2030, we enter 2026 with resolve and optimism, committed to advancing education, research, and practice that drive meaningful, lasting change.

May this holiday season offer you moments of peace, restoration, and joy. From all of us at ASPPH, we wish you and your loved ones a happy holiday season and a healthy, hopeful New Year. We look forward to reconnecting in early January 2026 when the Friday Letter returns on January 9, 2026.

Warmly,

Laura Magaña, PhD, MS
