The Renée Fleming Neuroarts Investigator Awards offer grants of up to $25,000 to support innovative, collaborative research in the emerging field of neuroarts. Applications are open until February 1, 2025, inviting early-career researchers and arts practitioners to collaborate in expanding the evidence base for the transformative impact of the arts on health and well-being.
Each award will be jointly presented to an early-career researcher affiliated with an academic institution and actively engaged in basic science fields related to neuroarts, along with an arts practitioner or professional working in an arts-based neuroarts discipline. These interdisciplinary teams will explore how creative practices influence brain health and overall well-being, driving the integration of the arts into mainstream medicine and public health.
The awards, named in honor of renowned vocalist and neuroarts advocate Renée Fleming, aim to advance groundbreaking research while ensuring the arts are recognized as vital tools in clinical care, preventive health, and community well-being.
