Last year, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Disease Prevention (ODP) asked if ASPPH and our members could help inform their next strategic plan by submitting feedback to a Request for Information (RFI). They received a robust response and the ODP Strategic Plan has now been released for FY 2024-2028 and it outlines how ODP will work to increase the scope, quality, dissemination, and impact of prevention research supported by NIH over the next five years.
The Strategic Plan, Prevention Research: Creating a Healthier Future for All, is organized around seven priorities designed to advance prevention research through innovation and collaboration. These priorities are connected by five cross-cutting themes, which provide areas of opportunity for new ODP activities.
