The 2026 ASPPH Annual Meeting for Academic Public Health concludes this afternoon, having successfully brought together over 800 colleagues, students, and partners from across the academic public health community to discuss many of the most pressing topics in our field, share ideas, strengthen partnerships, and advance the field.
Yesterday, participants gathered for the opening plenary, Beyond the Choir: Changing the Narrative for Broader Reach, which explored how public health leaders can better engage audiences who may be skeptical, disengaged, or beyond the traditional reach of public health messaging. Attendees also joined the afternoon plenary session Why Should I Trust You?: A Dialogue Between Academic Public Health and MAHA, a thoughtful conversation examining trust in science and public health.
Later today, we will welcome our closing plenary session, Leading with Purpose: Power, Partnership, and the Path to Health Equity, which will reflect on how values-driven leadership and collaboration can help advance health equity.
While our 2026 ASPPH Annual Meeting officially ends later today, we are grateful to the over 800 attendees from around the world who joined us in prioritizing academic public health. We look forward to welcoming you to our 2027 Annual Meeting, March 17-19.
