Successful 2025 ASPPH Annual Meeting Coming to a Close

Annual Meeting Ending Recap (1)

The 2025 ASPPH Annual Meeting for Academic Public Health began earlier this week, and we welcomed more than 850 of our wonderful colleagues to our event. Now more than ever, it is important for us to come together and connect regarding the global importance of academic public health.

Our opening plenary yesterday explored how policies, socioeconomic factors, and systemic inequities contribute to health disparities across populations.

Friday’s morning plenary will feature four panelists exploring how expanding the scope of environmental public health can empower the public health workforce and enable true primary prevention, fostering equitable health outcomes for all.

Additionally, Friday afternoon’s plenary will focus on building trust in public health and science and will feature our outgoing board chair, Dr. Thomas LaVeist, Dean, and Weatherhead Presidential Chair in Health Equity, Tulane University Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and Reed Tuckson, MD, FACP, Managing Director, Tuckson Health Connections, LLC.

While our 2025 Annual Meeting officially ends on Friday, March 21, we are grateful to the over 850 attendees from across more than 13 countries who were able to join us in prioritizing academic public health. We look forward to welcoming you to our 2026 Annual Meeting March 18-20.
