Reminder: Apply to Join the ASPPH Climate and Health Community of Practice by February 28

Applications are still open for the ASPPH Climate and Health Community of Practice (CoP), with a deadline of February 28. The CoPs are regional, faculty-led learning networks designed to support public health educators and academic leaders in applying course learning to real curriculum integration through collaboration, resource sharing, and the development of practical deliverables. Sessions will meet virtually for one hour every other week for approximately five months, from April through August 2026.

The CoP is part of Phase 2 of the Climate-Ready Classrooms initiative, launched by the Global Network for Academic Public Health (GNAPH) and the Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education (GCCHE).

Even if you did not participate in the live Climate-Ready Classrooms sessions, you can still be considered for a Regional CoP by:

  • Watching at least eight of the 11 recorded sessions on GCCHE’s YouTube channel, submitting the required acknowledgement form, and passing the final exam (an email invitation will be sent after the acknowledgement form has been submitted).

Important note: This pathway does not issue a certificate, and completing these steps does not guarantee selection. However, those who apply by the February 28 deadline and meet the above expectations by March 9, along with the other eligibility criteria, will be considered for their Regional CoP.

Learn more about the CoP logistics, eligibility criteria, and how to apply.

Note: Faculty from other GNAPH regional associations may be eligible through their own regional Community of Practice
