Public health is the persistent pursuit of obtaining a healthy environment and population while eliminating health disparities and inequities surrounding them.
My undergraduate mentor and advisor inspired me to study public health.
The most rewarding experience has been becoming aware of a different view of medicine regarding our entire country and world. And learning how health disparities and inequities continue the cycle of sickness, poverty, and mortality.
I wish someone would have told me to get involved in your community, you can help induce change even if it is just for one person.
The biggest challenge public health should be focusing on is education.
