What inspired you to study public health?

Seeing inequities across the same populations in the U.S. has inspired me to be involved at all levels of public health.

What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far?

The single most rewarding experience of my studies in public health so far, have been the real relationships I have created with community partners to address adolescent mental health crises.

Where did you do your practicum? What was it about?

My practicum is with Center for Healthcare Innovation in Chicago, IL. This organization supports diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare and research. I support this organization by researching materials to help with their educational efforts.

What do you hope to accomplish in your career?

I want to feel like I have made a difference in the lives of the people around me, no matter the stage in my career or the job I am holding.

You have to have patience, passion, and stamina to see the change you want to see.
