What inspired you to study public health? 

Knowing that this work could have long term positive effect.

What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far? 

Getting a grant to buy a blood lead analyzer for a community health clinic in an area with disproportionately high rates of blood lead concentrations and lead exposure

Where did you do your practicum? What was it about? 

Temple Family and Community Medicine Clinic Study on implementing a blood lead analyzer for pediatric populations.

What do you hope to accomplish in your career? 

Moving forward in my career, I plan to gain more research analyst experience and then move on to obtaining my DrPH or PhD. After I do this, I will be able to work directly in environmental health policy and protect at risks groups from exposure to hazardous environmental elements.

Take your time to pick your concentration and try out different classes and internships before you make a selection
