What inspired you to study public health? 

What inspired me in noticing the faults within our own society and wanting to change them and break barriers.

What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far? 

My internship I held with my local county department was super meaningful and really insightful into looking at local politics and how public health can be applied to real community based situations.

Where did you do your practicum? What was it about? 

I worked with the Benton County Health Department coordinating and managing the community health improvement plant. I also worked on developing dashboards for STI rates within the county.

What do you hope to accomplish in your career? 

My goal is to work for the UN developing climate change and gender inequality programs for rural women farmers in south asia

Get involved with your community and start gaining experiences by internship! Apply for internships at organizations you may be interested in and network with professionals in the field.
