What inspired you to study public health?
Working in the healthcare industry and coordinating an access to care program for the American Academy of Pediatrics.
What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far?
Getting to present my capstone project on the impact of anti-vaccine culture on policy.
Where did you do your practicum? What was it about?
Arizona Public Health Association, a non-profit/advocacy organization. I was a legislative intern for the 2023 legislative session.
What do you hope to accomplish in your career?
Writing policy that will promote environmental justice and access to healthcare.
Advice:
Public health will be the most difficult to define thing, a public health degree is what you make of it.
