What inspired you to study public health? 

My mom inspired me to study Public Health. She has worked her whole life as a nurse and she introduced me to Public Health while she was working at a local health department.

What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far? 

Working at a local health department and getting to learn about and spread awareness of opioid overdoses.

What do you hope to accomplish in your career? 

Eventually I hope to work as an investigative epidemiologist and work in many different countries to help investigate outbreaks and develop strategies to control them.

Advice: 

Put attention to the way that someone’s environment can impact their health, and their ability to improve their health.
