What inspired you to study public health?

I found my place in public health during my undergraduate career at the University of Oklahoma. The fantastic faculty there inspired me to pursue this field and showed me the true impact that I can make on this world.

What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far?

I am fortunate enough to pursue a master’s degree and experience as much of the public health workforce as I can throughout my education, and I find that to be rewarding. It is impactful to see all the areas where public health professionals are actively making change

What do you hope to accomplish in your career?

In my career, wherever I end up, I hope I can create connections within a community.

Advice:

My advice to someone starting in public health would be to keep an open mind! There is so much more intertwined with public health than you ever originally thought, and you will find your place to blossom.
