What inspired you to study public health?

When I started at USF for my undergrad, I chose Public Health as an entrance into the medical field. The more and more I learned about the different areas of the field of Public Health, my interest and passion began to grow for it. With the countless nights of studying public health research, presenting my assignments, and listening to speakers during courses made me want to focus in the field even more! It inspires me that one day I will be able to give back to my community with my dream job as a Healthcare Administrator.

What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far?

Receiving my Admissions Letter from the University of Miami, which has been my dream school since I was little.

Advice:

Biostatistics is part of your coursework.

What do you think is the biggest challenge that the public health field should be focusing on?

I believe that racial justice needs to be focused on and should be spoken about more. Also, the lack of access to healthcare in lower income communities.
