What inspired you to study public health?

My awareness to the concept that modern health is not only rooted in biology inspired me to study public health. The multifaceted nature of the field allows for professionals to research and promote a multitude of determinants of health, all with the common goal of improving the health and well-being of our communities.

What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far?

During my masters degree I had the pleasure of being involved in a research study that aimed to bring epidemiology education to high school students across the US. The opportunity to share the field of Public Health and epidemiology with the next generation of students has been my most rewarding experience in the field so far.

Advice:

My biggest piece of advice to those interested in entering the field is to take any opportunity that may be presented to you. There are so many routes to go in studying Public Health and you just may find your passion by getting involved with research or volunteer work.
