What inspired you to study public health?

I studied public health – as cliché as it sounds – to help as many people as I could.

What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far?

The most rewarding experience I have had in public health thus far was volunteering in a COVID-19 testing clinic early in the pandemic. It was amazing to see the community come together, and I was able to help my community stay safe in uncertain times.

Where did you do your practicum? What was it about?

National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health working with Dental Aerosol Sampling and the respiratory hazards surrounding the dental professions.

What do you hope to accomplish in your career?

I hope to someday join the ranks of the United States Public Health Services.

Advice:

Do not be afraid to take chances, go for every opportunity that comes your way. Even if you fail, you will learn so much about yourself and the field of public health.
