Opportunity to Serve as Objective Reviewer for ASPPH’s National Disease Intervention Specialist Certification Project Proposals

Graphic with text 'Funding Opportunity Call for Reviewers' and diverse hands raised, promoting workforce development in public health

ASPPH is seeking Objective Reviewers for proposals submitted by its members for a new RFP, Developing a Continuing Education Resources Repository for Disease Intervention Professionals. The proposed project supports ASPPH’s collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Board of Public Health Examiners (NBPHE) to lead the National Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS) Certification Project. The review period for this project will occur from January 9 – 23, 2025.

Implemented by the ASPPH Center for Public Health Workforce Development, the Certified in Disease Intervention (CDI) Program contributes to CDC’s workforce capacity efforts to improve public health services provided to communities by disease intervention professionals.

Objective Reviewers will be provided with a simple scoring rubric and will be asked to review a maximum of three applications. Each application will take approximately 30 minutes to review.

If you or a colleague are interested in serving as an Objective Reviewer, please email grants@aspph.org and include a short bio.
