The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Climate Change and Health Initiative (CCHI) is accepting applications for studies focused on implementation science to address the health impacts of climate change. Proposals are due by February 5, 2025, and should explore barriers and facilitators to adopting, scaling up, and sustaining effective interventions that prevent or mitigate climate-related health effects in the US and globally.
This cross-cutting effort aims to stimulate transformative research to reduce health threats posed by climate change across the lifespan. Researchers are encouraged to submit innovative proposals that, for instance:
- Identify strategies to enhance the adoption of evidence-based interventions
- Address scalability and sustainability challenges in diverse settings
- Explore global and domestic applications of climate-resilient health solutions
For detailed guidance, read the Notice of Special Interest (NOT-CA-25-003).
By advancing rigorous implementation science, the NIH Climate Change and Health Initiative underscores the critical need to protect vulnerable populations and advance global health equity in the face of a changing climate. Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research.
