The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Disease Prevention (ODP) released a request for applications last month to train predoctoral scholars from underrepresented and diverse backgrounds. Public, state-controlled, and private institutions of higher education are encouraged to apply by October 31, 2023. The NIH plans to make $1,300,000 available for four awards, with an award ceiling of $300,000.

The training will cover three main areas: health disparities/health equity research, multi-level preventive interventions, and methods for the design and analysis of multi-level preventive interventions.
